Part of our work in our field is to help our clients realize their dreams. These Longueuil customers wanted to give their kitchen a second wind, giving it a style that was both rural and contemporary, combining natural materials (wood and stone) with more modern materials.
Before proceeding with the kitchen’s renovation, we had to partially demolish the original kitchen, which dated from the early 1990s. We have removed all cabinets, counters and furniture. We also removed the linoleum floor that had seen better days. Our team has also carried out some work on the electricity to make it compliant and meet the new needs of our customers.
We chose a hardwood floor for the entire kitchen surface, for its rustic and elegant look. For the kitchen countertop, we opted for a laminate covering in a glossy finish to create a contrast with the custom wooden kitchen cabinets, painted white. The counter also includes a ceramic tile backsplash in earth colours to accentuate the rustic look, as well as a single-tank sink with stainless steel faucet and a stainless steel glass-ceramic stove. We have also added wood mouldings to the ceiling for a better finish.
Our customers have chosen a magnificent custom kitchen island with wooden cabinets and recycled wood covering. This island also includes a dining area for two people. We have also set up a small office space in the kitchen, as well as storage cabinets that can accommodate a sound system. The lighting consists mainly of ceiling lights and two lamps suspended above the island.
