When you think of a kitchen, you think of a central place, where your family and friends gather to chat and prepare good food. Having an up-to-date kitchen is the wish of many homeowners, and those in this St. Laurent neighborhood home made their dream a reality.
To design a kitchen with a unique look that combines classic and modern styling, we called on our kitchen designers to lay the groundwork with the customer.
First, the customer opted for a hardwood floor covering the entire first-floor space, except for the entrance hall. Next, an electrician ran the wiring to hang the three pendant light fixtures above the kitchen island.
The main countertop has a white melamine surface with an imitation natural stone backsplash. We also added a double-bowl sink with a black matte-finish faucet. All appliances (refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) have a stainless steel finish for a modern touch. Together with the customer, we optimized space by replacing the traditional stove with a glass-ceramic hob topped by a chimney hood. All cabinets and drawers are in white melamine.
The island is the central element of this new kitchen. It features a white melamine surface and three seats in the form of bar chairs. We also added laminate drawers and cabinets, and a second oven.l
