Even if you love your neighborhood and your home, it is possible that, at some point, you may need more space and a change of scenery. These owners of a two-storey residence in Verdun wanted to add additional rooms to their residence and add an outdoor terrace on the second floor. After a meeting with a Construction Précellence consultant, our new clients decided to move forward with a home addition at the back of their home and a terrace on the roof of the expansion.

Before starting the work, we obtained all the necessary permits from the municipality to comply with construction standards and regulations, first of all, we poured the concrete slab to accommodate the new space. Our certified construction technicians installed the walls, frame and roof. Our electrician was in charge of connecting the electrical system of the residence to this new room. We added masonry siding (bricks), identical to that of the house. We have added large sash windows, as well as French doors and a mosquito net door for easy access to the backyard. In the second part of the project, we used the roof of the extension to create a superb terrace, with treated wood floor and wrought iron railings. We also added a patio door on the 2nd floor.
