Project description

These Léry owners had found the perfect home and place for their family. However, they wanted to add space to their home and completely change its appearance. After a meeting with a Construction Précellence consultant, they decided to proceed with a floor addition and exterior renovation project, including the complete renovation of the exterior siding, windows and doors. Our specialized architecture and design team set to work to design a precise plan, including a 3D plan, a model, a budget and a schedule so that the client would have a clear idea of the scope of the project.

Before starting the work, we obtained the necessary building permits for the floor addition to comply with the municipality’s regulations and standards. The first step was to build the second roof for the 2nd floor. Then, we proceeded to demolish the existing roof. We installed beams and insulated the new floor. Afterwards, we built the walls, the structure, the roof. Our certified electricians have connected the house’s electrical system to the new floor. Finally, our finishing team took care of the insulation, plastering, painting, lighting and flooring. 

The second phase of the project consisted of replacing the exterior siding, demolishing the front gallery and replacing all doors and windows. We have removed the original vinyl exterior siding for engineered wood siding. We also replaced all the windows (which were from the construction of the house) with energy-efficient casement windows. Our team took charge of demolishing the front gallery by removing all the railings and building a concrete gallery and two concrete stairs. We disposed of all the remaining materials in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner.
