Project description

Meal time is a privileged time to gather to cook, but also to exchange and discuss with friends or family. So, having the kitchen and dining room in one room allows you to make dining more enjoyable than ever. This Rosemont customer wanted to transform his kitchen space to include the dining room and to have as much outdoor light as possible. With our kitchen designer, we took the time to conceptualize the client’s vision in every detail. From this meeting emerged a kitchen and dining room with a modern and refined style, with some colourful accessories for a beautiful contrast effect.

Our first task was to demolish the original kitchen to create a canvas for a new kitchen in addition to a dining room. We removed the linoleum floor and removed the counters and cabinets. We also carried out minor electrical work to optimize lighting and added a door to access the exterior and a full-length window to meet the customer’s lighting needs.

For the entirety of this large room, we opted for a hardwood floor. For the kitchen, we built a custom kitchen island with a wooden base and granite covering. This island also includes a dining area for four people as well as melamine drawers and cabinets. In addition, we have chosen a counter with white quartz coating, white and black melamine kitchen cabinets for a contrast effect. We have completed the counter with a white ceramic backsplash.

Our kitchen designer advised our customers on stainless steel appliances (two-door refrigerator with freezer, electric stove and dishwasher), as well as a single-tank stainless steel sink with matching faucets. For the dining room furniture, we opted for a simple rectangular wooden table with two black chairs, a white chair and a yellow chair for a touch of colour. The lighting of the two rooms consists of two series of three recessed ceiling lights.

As a general contractor specializing in kitchen renovation, we have taken charge of each step of this renovation project. For this reason, Construction Précellence has established partnerships with electricians, plumbers, cabinet and counter manufacturers, and floor covering specialists to make this project a success.
