If you love your home, but want to give your decor a second wind, renovating several rooms is the solution for you. These Rosemont clients wanted to bring a touch of prestige to their living room, but also to change a staircase and modify some elements of their dining room. It is with great enthusiasm that we have helped them to make this project a reality.
In order to proceed with the transformation, our team carried out a partial demolition of the rooms, starting with the removal of the carpet in the living room, as well as the replastering of the walls. We also removed the wooden staircase that was in poor condition. Finally, our team did some work on the electrical system to make it compliant and to add lighting fixtures in the living room and dining room.
Our customers’ first choice was a hardwood floor for the living room and dining room. The presence of a cathedral roof gave us the privilege of installing, with the help of panels, a complete wall made of white and grey fake bricks. This addition set the tone for a classic style living room. We have added custom-made melamine living room shelves on either side of the fireplace. Our designer advised our customers to keep neutral tones for a brighter and more convivial room. Customers chose lighter shaded furniture and looked for a touch of colour in accessories such as cushions and carpets.
For the staircase leading to the half-floor, we chose hardwood steps, wooden and wrought-iron handrails, and wooden and wrought-iron railings. The painting was also completely redone in both rooms. For the dining room, our customers wanted a bright and discreet decor with a touch of colour. Our designer advised them to add a classic round table with a wood base and marble covering.
