We have the opportunity to work on projects that are very different from each other and that also lead us to surpass ourselves. These Greenfield Park customers wanted to completely transform their kitchen into a more practical, modern and stylish space. We brought our team together, including our kitchen designer, and we started the project with enthusiasm.
Since the kitchen was built in the late 1980s, we first carried out a partial demolition, which consisted of removing the linoleum floor, tearing down a small wall between the living room and the kitchen and removing all the counters and cabinets. Subsequently, we did a partial refurbishment of the electrical system to facilitate the installation of new lighting and the stove in the centre of the island. We even added a window in the kitchen for more light.
Subsequently, we installed a ceramic floor for the kitchen for a more modern look. The false ceiling in the kitchen has allowed us to add wooden mouldings, ceiling lights and suspended lamps that are more adapted to the new decor. We also did some work on the ventilation to allow the installation of a chimney hood. The centrepiece is undoubtedly the island in the centre. This custom-made kitchen island has been built to accommodate an electric stove with integrated oven and a dining area for three people. For a touch of prestige, we have chosen a grey granite countertop covering. Since our customers wanted to have as much storage as possible in their new kitchen, we offered them custom-made melamine kitchen cabinets with a white finish and a wood finish for the drawers under the counter.
Our kitchen designer recommended adding stainless steel appliances (two-door refrigerator with built-in freezer and dishwasher) to complete their decor. The custom kitchen counter is made of white granite with a backsplash made of ceramic tiles of different sizes. At the request of customers, we have integrated a mini cellar under the kitchen counter.
