Project description

In most homes, the basement is a room dedicated to entertainment, whether in the form of video games, bars or home theaters. In this unusual project, the customer wanted to turn his basement into a multifunctional relaxation room for family and friends.

Since the décor dated back to the late 90s, a refurbishment was necessary. We started by removing the linoleum floor. Then we spruced up the windows and did some electrical work to add ceiling lights and wiring for the flat-screen TV and video game consoles.

First of all, we chose a floating floor, which is easy to clean and shock-resistant. The customer wanted to create a warm, classic atmosphere. So we added a faux-brick wall to complete the billiard area. 

We also added a bar area with a black melamine bar and two bar stools. With the help of our electrician and plumber, we were able to install a small refrigerator and sink behind the bar. There’s also plenty of storage space, made of black melamine.

Last but not least, there’s space for TV viewing and video games. We added a custom-made TV cabinet to accommodate our customer’s flat-screen TV and numerous game consoles.
