Your home remains a constant in your life, an anchor point where you need to feel good. But sometimes, even if you feel comfortable in your space and neighbourhood, a residential expansion is a better option than moving. These clients on Montreal’s South Shore had fallen in love with their home, but wanted a little more space to relax and have a good time with their family. Our team of designers and architects immediately set to work to develop a residential foundation addition that would also provide additional space in the basement.

Before starting the work, we took charge of obtaining building permits to be able to build this addition in accordance with the standards and regulations in place in the municipality. Then, we demolished the small vestibule at the back of the house and began the project by pouring the foundations and concrete slab that would receive the new space. After, our workers built the structure, walls and roof. We installed large casement windows and a patio door that gives access to the backyard. Our electricians installed an electrical system and lights in the new room and outside. For the outer siding, we suggested vinyl siding, which is durable and affordable.
